Where to find the best Joomla themes and templates
Here are some of my favourite Joomla template sites…
The best two are definitely RocketTheme and Shape5, they have some really modern templates which utilize the latest techniques in web design such as Ajax.

A ready made Joomla theme usually included some handy components and cusomisations that would otherwise cost extra money and time for you to implement. On the other hand you might not find a theme that fits your exact needs and would therefore prefer to create something from scratch rather than spend time trying to twist a theme to fit around your needs.
