I was recently reading an article about Barack Obama’s US presidential campaign, and discovered that he is using email marketing to great effect by sending out promotional emails and then using tracking information provided by the Email Marketing software to know when people open their emails and phone them immediately to entice them to give a donation. This is a very good example of why it is essential to have statistics on your email promotions.
