Using Gmail as a hard disk drive
Did you know that you can use your Gmail account as an online hard disk?
This can be useful for having files accessible from different pcs or to just keep some backups. Remember that Gmail offers around 7GB of storage whcih can be quite useful. Of course you can also create several Gmail accounts and so have more than 7GB of storage in total.
Here’s how to use gmail as an online hard disk drive:
- Download the Gmail Drive extension here
- This will create a Gmail Drive along with the other drives found under ‘My Computer’
- Click on ‘Gmail Drive’ in my computer
- Log in with your Gmail account credentials
- Drag and drop files as if using a normal hard drive
