How to automatically fix image orientation
A common problem many people seem to have when downloading images from their digital camera is that the orientation of the pics (landscape/portrait) is set wrongly. The solution to this problem is a very handy program called RightSideUp, which can be downloaded here:
http://www.gusperez.com/downloads/bin/rightsideup.zip
This application automatically rotates images in a folder using EXIF data stored in the image by most cameras. Thus there’s no longer a need to go through each image and manually rotate them yourself.
To use it just select the folder where your images are located and then it will give you a list of all the images and their proper orientation. Click the ROTATE ALL button and the program will then process all the images and fix their orientation. Problem solved!
