Hey, thanks for checking out my site! I am a web professional currently residing in Malta, conducting most of my business from home and aiming to be as location-independent as possible. I specialise in web development using WordPress. Teaching and Consulting also give me great satisfaction and are an important part of my work.
I believe that a successful website is one that looks great and is also simple to update. The user experience factor should also be a priority. When possible, I try to build client sites using an existing open-source platform. This reduces the time and cost of developing the website. I am an expert in customising the WordPress platform, an open-source Content Management System, to meet clients’ needs.
Learning about different cultures, traveling and living in different parts of the world is something that excites me immensely. Till now I’ve had the good fortune of living in UK and Spain, apart from my lovely country Malta. I am also fluent in 4 languages (Maltese, English, Italian and Spanish) and have studied French, German and Russian to various degrees. I aim to reach fluency in 8 languages during the coming years.

Academic Reports
A Module Quality Reviewing System for the Loughborough Computer Science Department (Sept. 2007)
This was my final project for my M.Sc. degree at Loughborough University. I used the PHP framework CakePHP in order to build this system. The project involved a complete system development starting from discussions with the client in order to get the requirements, then moving on to researching the best technologies to use and finally programming and testing the system. Testing of Web Applications (June 2005)
My final project for my B.Sc. degree at the University of Malta. The work done involved the creation of a PHP-based CMS and testing of the web application mostly involving security aspects. I therefore investigated various hacking tools and methodologies and then tried to hack my own website, providing details of each attempt and information about that vulnerability.
Other Achievements
2004 – Successfully completed a 1700km cycle ride from Paris to Madrid in 9 days during the Life Cycle ‘Pyrenean Challenge’ in aid of persons suffering from Kidney Failure.
